Barack Obama: His 'Godfather' Surfaces?

Jones, 72, is an unabashedly old-school politician. A former sewer inspector for the city of Chicago, Jones has relatives on the state payroll, steers state grants to favorite organizations and uses his clout to punish enemies and bury GOP legislation.

... or as this as "reported" by Morris (IL) Daily Herald with that "nasty" GOP, expunged.

Jones, a former sewer inspector for the city of Chicago, is an unabashedly old-fashioned politician. He has relatives on the state payroll, steers state grants to favorite organizations and uses his clout to punish enemies and bury inconvenient legislation.

Just like every politician who has ever "owed" his "roots" to a faction with that less than noble word, AGENDA, hovering in the background?

Katrina Victims May Have to Repay Money?

Imagine that your home was reduced to mold and wood framing by Hurricane Katrina. Desperate for money to rebuild, you engage in a frustrating bureaucratic process, and after months of living in a government-provided trailer tainted with formaldehyde you finally win a federal grant.

When a catastrophe strikes, those effected need help ... not political/social miscalculations. Private contractors are in business to make a profit. These individuals made profit on human misery. Same old ... same old!

Barack Obama: Does Obama Favor Slavery “Reparations?”

Barrack (sic) Obama’s pastor not only spews anti-American rhetoric from the pulpit but favors shaking down U.S. taxpayers for “reparations” for slavery. The Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright was the keynote speaker at the 2007 annual conference of N’COBRA, which stands for the National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America.

Interesting that black slavery had its "roots" with native tribal leaders in Africa prior to European involvement. The "Blame Game" seems to have developed when the first pair of Homo sapiens wronged each other, irregardless of reason?

While not advocating the expounding of controversial personal views in a public setting, is it any wonder that members of any race who has suffered at the hands of another might harbor intensely strong feelings?

Jeremiah Wright: It 'Pays' To Be A Black Bigot?

FNC PhotoThe 10,340-square-foot home, apparently planned for Wright's retirement, sits on land purchased by the pastor in 2004 for $345,000. In September 2006, the church applied for a building permit, and in December 2006 he sold the land to his church, which took out a $1.6 million mortgage on the property.

Trinity officials declined to comment. The church's national office said it is 'customary and appropriate in many Christian denominations, including the United Church of Christ . . . to offer housing provisions for retiring clergy' after years of service.

Gorda, CA: $5.40 Per Gallon ... Say What?

in the tankJames Willman runs the Amerigo gas station in Gorda, a small town on Highway 1, about 35 miles north of Cambria. It is the only gas station for miles, so if you want to fill up there, it will cost you.

The hefty price is $5.40 for a gallon of regular gas.

Gas station owner James Willman said, 'If you're out in the desert without water, you're going to be charged $30 bucks for jug of water. I wouldn't feel sorry for you. Look before you leap, right?'
